Keep in mind that Google Voice requires Wi-Fi and/or mobile data so it cannot be used like your original texting app. I recommend Google Voice because it's free to call and text anyone in the US while Nextplus and of the like only offer free calling to other Nextplus members. To get around this (and the call log as well) try using a VoIP such as Google Voice. They can just see who you have been texting but it's just the number so if there is a number they don't recognize, then they won't know who it is (at least, for Verizon). They don't keep the actual texts sent because that'd require a warrant to get to.

Remember, the service provider keeps a log of who you have texted/called online so the N's can see it.


Face Unlock and Thumbprint can be forcibly done and if you resemble your N enough, they can bypass Face Unlock by themselves. Password/PIN lock is the most secure way to lock your phone against Nsnooping.
